Plans submitted for Aparthotel scheme in Barnard Castle are featured in the press

Our designs for an elegant new aparthotel scheme in Barnard Castle, County Durham have now been submitted for planning approval.

It’s great to see the project featuring in the press, having appeared in in both The Northern Echo and Serviced Apartments News this week.

This 20 micro-apartment scheme uses pale stone brickwork to complement the local limestone construction, whilst modern window detailing and zinc cladding give the scheme a more contemporary edge.  Extensive refurbishment will be required to convert the building from its current use as a restaurant to a hotel.

We have used our experience designing high-end hospitality schemes in the city, applying industry best practice and innovation to bring a completely new offering to the area. Aparthotels are aimed at visitors on holiday or  those looking for extended stays. Due to the longer-term stay of occupants, apart-hotels are fitted out with necessities that can be found in a home. Barnard Castle is popular for walkers and outdoor pursuits. Apart-Hotels provide the perfect space for a weekend or month-long get-away for visitors to receive the full experience of living in the town.
